The struggles of Goan farmers do not seem to end. Many issues plague these hardworking men and women, cultivating their fields across the state. From unseasonal rains to animals destroying their crops, the problems are endless. Now with the increased price of machinery, the farmers of Quitla, Aldona are only facing losses.
The machinery operator rents out the harvesting machines for an hour within which farmers are expected to harvest the entire field. If not they have to pay additional price, leaving them upset. The farmers would earlier pay the rent on an hourly basis. The farmers will submit a memorandum to the chief minister, the agriculture minister and the MLA to resolve this issue.
