PORVORIM: Thanking Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane for withdrawing “fraud” charge levelled against NGO Goa Foundation, Nuvem MLA Aleixo Sequeira on Thursday said that Adv Norma Alvares and Claude Alvares have contributed to the betterment of Goa. “I have had many issues with Adv Norma Alvares and Claude Alvares. I was very happy that our forest minister withdrew his words against this couple,” Sequeira. “I would categorically like to state that during my tenure as the Minister for Environment…during my encounters with them we had agreed to disagree and it would be wrong on my part if I deny the fact that this couple has definitely contributed for the betterment of Goa,” he said. “So, I thank the Minister for Forest for having withdrawn his words,” Sequeira said, while speaking during the discussions on demands that also included the Environment department.
