VASCO: Alert traffic police helped the Vasco police solve a case of scooter theft.
According to the Vasco PI Nolasco Raposo, a complaint of theft was lodged by one Sunita Fernandes, a resident of New Vaddem, that on June 1, 2018, she had parked her Activa scooter, as usual, near Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL). But when she returned after work, she found it missing and after searching for her scooter, she finally managed to locate her scooter parked inside the Vasco station premises.
The scooter was stolen by one Vinayak Pujari (34), a resident of Quepem. Traffic PSI Sidhappa Kambli detained Pujari for drunk driving and later learnt that the scooter was a stolen one. Thereafter, Kambli traced Pujari and recovered the scooter.
