All Anganwadis to reopen from July 1: Rane

PANJIM: The State government has decided to restart Anganwadis, which were shut since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, from July 1 onwards. 

Minister for Women and Child Development Vishwajit Rane on Tuesday said that the decision to restart Anganwadis has been taken in consultation with the Union Ministry. 

He said that in accordance with COVID appropriate behavior and norms, government has decided to restart all Anganwadis in the State from July 1. 

There are total of 1,262 Anganwadis in the coastal state of Goa.

“We shall keep a strict vigil and also ensure that a doctor regularly visits the Anganwadis for thorough monitoring,” the Minister said.
