VASCO: Claiming that all is not well within the BJP and that Mormugao has lagged behind due to the differences between the saffron party MLAs, Trinamool Congress Party leader from Mormugao Jayesh Shetgaonkar on Saturday urged the people to vote for TMC to bring about a positive change in Goa.
A viral video posted on social media, Shetgaonkar claimed that Mormugao municipal area and the entire taluka has remained underdeveloped and backward in terms of development due to the internal differences and fights within the BJP legislators.
Shetgaonkar said for last 15 years there is BJP MLA in Mormugao, but public projects which should have been completed in these years are still pending.
The town residents are still suffering due to incomplete garbage plant and swimming pool project and the roads too are in bad shape. If the MLA is not able resolve these basic issues in 15 years then what is he going to offer to the locals in near future, he questioned.
On the infighting within the BJP, Jayesh said because all is not well in the BJP, their MLAs tend to speak and make allegations against each others. BJP is on the verge of collapsing.
He said people of Goa this time must think of a change and opt for a third front that is TMC. People should this time give good mandate to TMC.
“BJP is organising Chief Minister trophy’s events, etc, is just an election gimmick to fool people. Where was BJP during the COVID-19 pandemic when people needed it the most,” he questioned.
“We have gone to the public and have understood that people are unhappy and if situation needs to be changed for good then people should vote for a new party so that they will have a chance to voice their opinion,” Shetgaonkar added.
