PONDA: Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar on Friday alleged that one minister and an MLA with Rs 10 lakh cash are trying to topple the newly formed Ponda Municipal Council (PMC).
He appealed to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to look into the matter to save the recently formed ruling council.
He said that the ruling council chairperson is a BJP worker.
Dhavalikar urged the Chief Minister to take control of this minister and MLA, who are trying to topple the ruling council. “In case, they get successful in their effort then it would not be a good sign. Since the chairperson is loyal BJP worker, the like-minded councillors from other parties had supported and elected him to the post by defeating those, who are changing political parties like clothes.
