PANJIM: Trinamool Congress (TMC) Vice President and Rajya Sabha MP Luizinho Faleiro today hit out at the Congress and Goa Forward Party over their ‘unholy pre-poll alliance.’ Addressing a press conference at the party office he said that the alliance is incapable of giving Goa a credible government that it rightfully deserves.
He called out ‘Great Betrayal Of 2017′ saying ‘This is Congress wine in a BJP bottle. BJP and Goa Forward Party are then going to package it and sell it further and make a mockery of the people’s mandate like they did 5 years ago.’
Faleiro remarked, ‘Our agenda is not that of Congress to provide spare tyres to the BJP. Our agenda is to respect people’s mandate and provide them with solutions.’
Urging Goans to fight for their self-respect and not be fooled again, Faleiro stated, ‘People need to be cautious. Neither Congress nor the Goa Forward Party (GFP) can form a government that Goans deserve because neither of the two is credible or reliable. Who brought the BJP back to power in 2017? The answer is Congress and the GFP. The great betrayal has been repeated. The only party that is capable of good governance is TMC. We deliver what we promise.’
Responding to a query on a probable alliance with the NCP ahead of 2022 polls, Faleiro said that nothing concrete had been finalised yet and no Goa specific decisions have been made.
