RAIA: Ambelim Sports Club won 1-0 against Arlem Youth Association, Raia, in a close match at the 26th Holy Cross inter-village football tournament in Vodlemoll-Kakoda.
The first half saw both teams grappling for dominance, with numerous opportunities but the strikes lacked precision, resulting in a goalless stalemate at halftime.
However, the second half saw Ambelim SC stepping up their offensive game. Their perseverance paid off when Jurico Corriera found the back of the net. Despite Arlem’s valiant efforts to level the score, luck was not on their side, and Ambelim managed to hold on to their lead until the final whistle.
