BICHOLIM: Bicholim police on Thursday arrested one Gajanan Mohan Mashelkar from Bhagatwada-Amona for allegedly assaulting Sameer Bhagat and his brother Sandesh Bhagat from the same locality.
The complaint in this connection has been lodged by victim’s wife who stated that accused assaulted her husband Sameer and brother-in-law with sticks on Wednesday late night by trespassing into their house over a family issue.
Following the complaint, police arrested Mashelkar under Sections 324, 504, 506-2 and 447 of IPC. Duo was rushed to community health centre Sanquelim for treatment. Head Constable Sabaji Gawas is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Sanjay Dalvi.
