Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (CGMMF), the largest dairy co-operative in the country known as Amul, has proved again that efficiency of co-operatives can successfully counter recessionary trends of the economy.
For the third consecutive year, it has posted a double digit growth in turnover reaching Rs 6,700 crore in 2008-09. It has been stated that the unduplicated turnover of the dairy co-operatives of Gujarat would be about Rs 10,000 crore.
GCMMF has targeted a turnover of Rs 27,000 crore by 2020.
Amul beats recession
