The Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC), Goa, has arrested a 43-year-old man from Calangute for allegedly possessing suspected Ecstasy powder valued at approximately ₹86,000.
The accused, identified as Sagar Morajkar, a resident of Naika Waddo, Calangute, was allegedly found in possession of 8.6 grams of the suspected narcotic substance during an operation conducted by the ANC.

Following his arrest, officers carried out a search of his residence, during which they seized an additional ₹10,000 in cash, believed to be connected to the case.
A case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway.
The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Mapusa, has remanded Morajkar to seven days’ police custody for further investigation.
