VASCO: Claiming that the State government had failed to pay the port a whopping Rs 8.5 crore as anchorage charges for the stricken vessel 'Pratima Bhima', Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) Chairman P Mara Pandiyan said the amount could have enabled the cash-starved MPT to provide benefits to their employees.
