CALANGUTE: An Andhra Pradesh native was held with ganja worth Rs 6.1 lakh by Calangute police on Monday.
Police said they received information that one person would be coming near Dolphin circle, Calangute, to deliver narcotics to a prospective customer, following which they conducted a raid and found 6.1 kg of a green leafy substance suspected to be ganja in the possession of the accused, NV Krishna Reddy. The seized narcotics is worth Rs 6.1 lakh.
Reddy, 27, a resident of Reddigudem, Krishna, Andhra Pradesh, was arrested after being charged under the provisions of the NDPS Act 1985.
Further investigations are on to find out the source of the narcotics, police said.
