It may be recalled that Herald had highlighted how the Talathi in a letter had conveyed his inability to the Mamlatdar of Bardez to inspect and book an offence against the defaulting club due to absence of police.
The cops later initiated the process to seize the electronic musical equipments and speakers that were used to play loud music that night.
In the other case, an FIR was registered against Deepansh Bajaj and Suresh Ramola, the co-owner and the manager of Xoxo Bar and Restaurant for playing loud music beyond the permissible limits.
SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi stated that on the intervening night of January 12 to 13, the alleged accused were found playing deafening loud music at a party without obtaining permissions from the authorities.
The accused persons contravened the provisions of The Noise Pollution (Regulations and control) Rules 2000 and 15 of The Environment (Protection) Act 1986 and were hence booked by the cops and loud speakers were seized from the venue.
