It may be recalled that Luiza (70) was found dead, while her sister-in-law, Tersilla Fernandes (55), lay unconscious in the balcony. The suspected murder came to light when a local, Andrew, who used to help the two women in their marketing and other work, visited their residence at about 3 pm, after they had failed to respond to his telephone calls.
When contacted, Anjuna police said they are looking for the unknown person who allegedly murdered Luiza, while her sister-in-law, Tersilla, is undergoing medical treatment at GMC Hospital in Bambolim.
Police further informed that the post-mortem will be conducted on Friday. The exact motive behind the murder is not known however, locals suspect that it could be due to some property issue, as her property was at a prime location in Anjuna.
