MAPUSA: A swim proved fatal for a 16-year-old Anjuna resident who met a watery grave in a well at Grand Chivar in the village on Thursday.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 4.58 pm when a group of friends ventured for a swim in a well at Grand Chivar Anjuna. The deceased has been identified as Sahil Anwar. Following Sahil’s death, the others immediately fled from the spot.
After receiving information about the tragic incident, Anjuna Police and Mapusa fire station teams rushed to the site. The fire personnel retrieved Sahil’s body from the well. The police conducted the panchanama. and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem.
