Another 21 COVID cases detected in Curchorem

CURCHOREM: Another 21 COVID positive cases were detected in the Curchorem Upgraded Primary Health Centre’s jurisdiction on Thursday taking the tally to 242 cases.

According to a health official, at Xeldem besides a 37-year-old man, six family members including three minor children tested positive.  “At Assolda, besides a husband-wife duo, a 48-year-old woman and a man were infected. A 31-year-old resident of Hoddar tested positive,” an official disclosed.

In the Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) jurisdiction, a husband-wife duo and a 37-year-old woman tested positive in Bebquegal ward. Two from Deventewada ward, a 42-year-old man from Pontemol and a 26-year-old woman from Morailem contracted the infection. A couple from Matt-Panchwadi also tested positive. Some infected persons have asked for house isolation while others have been shifted to COVID Care Centres.

According to the available information, the confirmed cases stand at 242 with 129 recoveries and 111 active cases. Two deaths have been recorded at the Centre till date.
