PANJIM: The Fire and Life Safety Association of India (FSAI) Goa Chapter has emphasised on awareness programmes in cyber crime and security.
FSAI-G newly-elected president Jennifer Lewis Kamat said she would make efforts to spread awareness on overall safety and security of the citizens in the State.

“…will work hard to spread the awareness of safety and security to the citizens for safe and secure Goa. The educational and awareness programme in cyber crime and security will be organised for the citizens,” a press statement issued by the FSAI-G said.
The installation ceremony of the new president was held online in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who congratulated the first lady president.
FSAI national president Suresh Menon also stressed the need for awareness on safe and secured online communication as virtual online mode is the only means of communication in COVID-19 times.
Director of Women & Child Development Deepali Naik stressed on the safety of women at workplace as well as awareness in fire and safety precautions for children.
Whereas FSAI Advisor Ashok Menon, who is also the Director of Fire and Emergency Services said the association as NGO professional body of fire professionals, security experts and industrial automation experts has been able to general adequate awareness about the need for these services in the economy of a country.
