QUEPEM: Even as Forest Department officials succeeded in trapping one leopard in Morpila village, locals fear that there is another wild cat lurking in the area.
For the last few days, people have been reporting sighting two different leopards in the village and hence there is fear amongst them to venture out in the dark.
Forest Department officials had laid various traps to catch the leopards and on early Monday morning at around 5:30 one of them was caught in the cage that was set up at Padi, Barcem near the village.
The villagers have asked the Forest Department to continue their efforts to trap the second leopard that is lurking around the village. About a week back, Forest Officials trapped another leopard that was lurking in Sanguem.
