Any hope of independence from noise polluters on Independence weekend?

PANJIM: While the techno parties have blasted social media, announcing their illegal late night and early morning high decibel jigs from Independence Day till Sunday, two Police Inspectors of Anjuna and Mandrem have expressed determination to crack down on the techno parties.
It appears that the entire system has collapsed despite several directions from the High Court. Apart from passing the buck from the Deputy Collector, to the Goa State Pollution Control Board and the local police, there appears to be a nexus of the higher echelons of the Bureaucracy, police and local politicians.
With this stranglehold is there any hope of Independence from the noise polluters?
Three people in the Vagator belt who were ailing have died due to noise pollution. Children and senior citizens are most affected.
Activists say the police are fighting against us when we complain.
There is a single noise monitoring machine for lakhs of square metres area. There is a drug angle to these parties. Police admit off the record that directions come for very higher ups.
