AP police nab 8 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants

PANJIM: Andhra Pradesh (AP) Police detained eight illegal immigrants from Bangladesh while they were on their way to Goa by Howrah-Vasco da Gama Express.

The immigrants told the police that they stayed in Goa from 2017 to 2019. They added that after the COVID-19 outbreak last year, they left India to go back to their native country.

Thereafter, they added that they had returned to Goa in June this year.

AP police officials stated that these eight persons had no official documents, including passports, but that they had carried fake Aadhar cards, PAN cards and voter identity cards with an address in Bengaluru.
