The trauma centre will have a team of highly qualified doctors, including Dr V N Jindal and Dr Antonio Figueiredo, and para medical staff with the latest technology.
Victor Albuquerque, the hospital’s Managing Director said, “The hospital has geared up to set up a trauma centre catering to accidents, strokes and emergencies. This centre is mainly for the people of South Goa as a lot of time is consumed to reach GMC hospital in case of emergencies due to traffic and the distance. This trauma centre will have a 24×7 service with doctors of every speciality on board. Also, we are providing all required infrastructure.”
Apollo Victor Hospital has also placed four trauma ambulances across South Goa which will be connected to the hospital for tele-medicine so that treatment can commence at the emergency spot. The hospital will also have teaching programmes for DNB courses.
Albuquerque stated the hospital has planned to start medical tourism and has sought assistance from the government. He said, “We will also have packages for various cases, thereby breaking the myth of the hospital being expensive. We will provide services that are 24×7 and hygienic.”
