O Heraldo deeply regrets inadvertently reporting that Maebern Sonal Furtado from Chinchinim assaulted two persons with an iron rod at Khareband bridge, when in reality the said Maebern was a victim of the assault described in the report titled ‘After group clash at Benaulim on Saturday night, Chandor resident arrested while trying to flee to UK’.
In fact the person who assaulted with an iron rod was Akash Atvekar from Housing Board, Margao. We apologise to Maebern for the same.
