PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) called Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar a ‘Bhagoda’ (one who runs away from war) following his comment over his decision to return to Goan politics was due to the tremendous pressure on issues like Kashmir.
“Chief Minister’s claim in public that it was the pressure of running the Defence Ministry, in particular the vexed Kashmir issue, that got to him and facilitated his grabbing the opportunity to return to Goa politics is a self-admission that he is a ‘Bhagoda’,” AAP said.
AAP leader Valmiki Naik said Parrikar failed miserably in Delhi. “For the first time soldiers took to the streets to protest, and several brave hearts began posting videos on social media to highlight the pathetic conditions and facilities with which they guard our borders,” he said.
Parrikar, in a speech on Friday had said, “Resolving Kashmir issue is not easy… to resolve it we need long term policy…and I feel that there are some issues that there need to be less talk and more work as with talks the issues get complicated.”
