PONDA: St Anne’s Church Ponda, celebrated its appreciation day on January 21 at the church hall. Parish Priest Fr Basil Lobo, OFM, welcomed the parishioners and Dr Wilfred Dias, briefed them about the working of the Fabrica.
Sr Flavia Vaz, FSMA the Principal of St Mary of the Angels Convent High School, Chinchinim was the chief guest on the occasion. She explained the significance of appreciating fellow members and praised the Parish Priest for organising such an event and honouring all the working committees of the parish. She said that events like this bring in closeness among the members.
Fr Basil offered a token of appreciation to all the members of working committees of the Church. Games and singing sessions were conducted for the kids and adults, followed by dinner. Annie Mendes proposed the vote of the thanks. The programme was compered by Custodio Dias and Sigrid Da Cunha.
