Aquem bachao panel pleased after CM meet

MARGAO: The Aquem Ground Bachao Association has said that its meeting with Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar has ended on a positive note, while exuding confidence that the Costa ground will be retained for the benefit of the citizens of Aquem and entire Margao.

MARGAO:  The Aquem Ground Bachao Association has said that its meeting with Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar has ended on a positive note, while exuding confidence that the Costa ground will be retained for the benefit of the citizens of Aquem and entire Margao.
Members of the Association had an audience with the Chief Minister, which was coordinated with the Chief Minister’s office through local BJP leader Sharmad Raiturca on October 25. “The discussions which lasted for 45 minutes was very positive which has raised the hopes of Aquemkars that finally the Costa grounds will be retained for the citizens of Aquem and Margao”, stated Association general secretary Andrew Sequeira.
He said the Chief Minister has come up with solutions which are in favour of the citizens of Aquem and Margao. “Association members also gave their suggestions and the Chief Minister promised to further improvise on his solutions so as to completely satisfy the people”, Andrew said.
Meanwhile, sources said the Chief Minister during his visit to Margao on Sunday had a close look at the Costa ground. He is believed to have found youngsters playing on the ground even during afternoon time and has promised to work out a solution to satisfaction 
of Aquemkars.
