Aquem road, a place for condemned vehicles?

The stretch between Floriano Vaz circle and Power House junction in Aquem is used like a ‘garage’ by mechanics who repair vehicles parked by the roadside

The stretch of road between Floriano Vaz circle to Power House circle at Aquem has become a permanent parking lot for condemned vehicles.
With all concerned departments turning a blind eye, the road leading to and fro from Floriano Vaz circle to Power House circle at Aquem has become a permanent parking lot for scrap and condemned vehicles and open garage for repairing vehicles by keeping the vehicles on the shoulder of the road.
Between the Floriano Vaz circle near Carina Petrol bunk there is a commercial complex housing a milk wholesaler, cement dealer, battery shop, a motor garage, an eatery and a host of other utility shops. There is an open drain between this complex and the road so all the vehicles coming to offload and onload the goods of these shops and establishments keep their vehicles on the shoulder of the road. Most of the time half of the vehicle is on the tarred road blocking the on-coming traffic; the automotive battery and motor garage technicians are also servicing and repairing vehicles by keeping these vehicles dangerously beside the road as they change batteries, engine oil, tyres, electrical works or any other work related to motor vehicles.
It’s a common site to see old scrap and condemned vehicles kept on either side of this stretch making this area an eye sore together with danger to the commuters and pedestrians as due to positioning of these vehicles on the shoulders the pedestrians are forced to walk on the tarred portion of the road exposing themselves to risks.
It’s been noticed that these technicians discard all types of waste like grease, fuel and other electronic and electrical waste causing irreversible damage to the environment around.
There is a Highway Patrol (HP) police vehicle which passes by this stretch of road regularly. It is the responsibility of the patrol to look after the safety of the commuters on national highways. It’s beyond anybody’s imagination how and why this is being allowed in spite of this stretch having a heavy flow of traffic throughout the day.
