ARAMBOL: Like the traffic sentinel scheme of the Goa Police, the Arambol Village Panchayat has devised a scheme wherein informants reporting on illegal businesses would be rewarded.
There are multiple illegal establishments transacting business without obtaining required permits and the waste management committee of the panchayat has started an innovative scheme where the person who informs the committee of such businesses would be rewarded. “If anyone knows of any businesses being run without obtaining required permits, it should be brought to the notice of the panchayat and the informant would be rewarded and identity will not be revealed,” said panel’s chairman Samir Kudav.
