Arambol residents fume as traffic woes continue to escalate

ARAMBOL: Residents of Arambol have been fuming as traffic woes continue to escalate due to incomplete underground cabling work by the Electricity Department. The situation reached a boiling point on Friday when a Maharashtra registered tempo found itself stranded in a pit in front of HDFC Bank, bringing traffic to a standstill.

Ramakrishna Majji, a local taxi businessman flayed the traffic department for failing to handle the situation and charged that proper filling of the dug pits with stones and soil could significantly reduce the risk of vehicles getting stuck.

The situation has been escalating over the past three days, particularly in areas like Arambol Titha and the road leading to the beach. Motorists are facing hardships due to severe traffic congestion, and haphazard vehicle parking.
