Copy of O Heraldo shown by Yuri Alemao in the House to show why website functionality is vital

PORVORIM: Ruling and Opposition members raised serious concern over the malfunctioning Directorate of Settlement and Land Survey website during a calling attention motion on Tuesday over the last three months.
Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco who raised the issue said survey plans don’t open and sometimes it takes three to four days for downloading. Land grabbing was possible due to this, he said.
Viresh Borkar questioned whether those survey numbers were not opening where there were land frauds.
During the discussion Ruling MLA Nilesh Cabral said Minister Atanasio Monserrate’s reply regarding bandwidth was unsatisfactory and said they could pay and take another service provider, other than GBBN.
Opposition Leader Yuri Alemao a copy of O Heraldo story ‘Simply South: Mutation cases of even dead person are mutating in South Goa’ to prove how important information can be drawn from the site. Monserrate assured to fix the website within 6 months. MLAs were however not happy with the time frame.
