MARGAO: Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat has convened a special gram sabha on October 2, at 9 am in the panchayat hall to prepare the draft of Gram Panchayat Development Plan and has appealed to villagers to attend in large number.
Besides presenting the status of GPDP works undertaken, the resource envelope for the current financial year will be presented by the panchayat secretary.
Anganwadi, Government Primary Schools and Health department will also present a report of the status of their work in the village while Sarpanch and VDC convener will present a timeline for preparing the new Gram Panchayat Development Plan.
Sarpanch Perris D’Costa informed that the panchayat has moved for demolition of 9 scrap yards as a demolition order has been issued against them and a demolition squad for the same has to be mobilised.
