AGENCIES, SHIMLA: Goa Legislative Assembly’s former Speaker and BJP leader Rajendra Arlekar took oath as the new Governor of Himachal Pradesh at Raj Bhawan in Shimla on Tuesday.
Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice Ravi Malimath, administered the oath of office and secrecy to Arlekar.
It may be recalled that Arlekar was appointed as Governor of Himachal Pradesh on July 6.
Earlier, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with other BJP leaders paid a farewell visit and greeted Arlekar before leaving for Himachal Pradesh.
