CALANGUTE: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has initiated plans to widen and beautify the five-road junction at Arpora-Nagoa, to prevent further accidents and harm to human life and damage to property.
The five-road junction has been an accident-prone zone with accidents taking place on a regular basis despite there being speed-breakers. In a letter to Chief Minister, Lobo has urged the CM to sanction the works to widen the Nagoa circle.
“The area needs to be widened and a small centre circle needs to be put in place to regularize the traffic and to avoid accidents,” Lobo told Herald.
“However, to carry out plans, we need the support of the farmers and shop owners”.
