Arundhati Roy,Geelani may not be arrested

NEW DELHI, OCT 26
The Home Ministry is understood to have decided not to arrest Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, writer-activist Arundhati Roy and others on the charge of sedition for making provoking speeches for Jammu and Kashmir’s “azadi”.
It will also not take any action against the organisers of the seminar as it was held after obtaining due police permission, the ministry sources said. The decision to ignore the event was taken at the highest political level.
