In the case of kidnapping at Fatorda, the Fatorda police apprehended the accused involved in kidnapping a 15-year-old girl. As per reports, the accused identified as Ravi Kumar Nayak, a 23-year-old young man hailing from Assam was the boyfriend of the victim girl.
Recently a case was lodged at Fatorda police by a frantic mother about her daughter’s missing. The mother identified as Surmana Devi, said that her 15-year-old daughter was missing. Since the girl was a minor, the fatorda police immediately registered an FIR and began their investigation.
“Within two days the police interrogated the victim’s peers and through the details they found a lead about a person with whom she was too friendly. Through the lead, we extracted the details of the person which stated that he was her boyfriend. Immediately our technical team dug up his whereabouts and location, through which we were able to arrest him late at night,” Shaikh Salim, Mormugao DySP
The accused is currently in police custody and the victim is shifted to hospital for treatment. The accused Ravi Kumar S/o Nanda Nayak, a native of Assam but was residing in Goa.
