PANJIM: The major political parties in the State have hired private agencies to conduct surveys about their poll prospects ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
According to reliable sources, the Congress which had failed to form the government after emerging as the single largest party in 2017 elections, have engaged maximum agencies/firms to conduct survey so as to assess its chances. The agencies are also evaluating the prospects of its five sitting MLAs.
Besides, Congress, the ruling BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also learnt to have hired reputed firms to conduct surveys to know the mood of the electorate.
The agencies have roped in mostly students to reach out to the people.
