VASCO: Vasco MLA Krishna ‘Daji’ Salkar has pointed out that the Tilak Maidan is used only for 330 days out of 365 days, even when there is an urgent need for physical activity and wean youth away from cellphones. He questioned whether the stadium will be kept open for Goan youth.
Sports Minister Govind Gaude said there was no such proposal, but if MLA or anyone takes initiative the stadium could be given for certain activities provided there was no misuse.
Daji also asked for taking back the MPA ground since it was used for dumping vehicles.
