QUEPEM: In show of unity, residents of Quepem, Assolda, Chandor, Guirdolim, Xelvona, Hodar and Xeldem on Sunday participated in the rally organised by Goyant Kollso Naka voicing their opposition to coal transportation and rail doubling tracking project.
Over 250 people joined the rally near Assolda Bridge in the afternoon chanting slogans “Goyant Kollso Naka Ani Double Tracking Naka”.
The rally concluded in an open space near the Koparmoddi Chapel, Assolda.
Member of Goyant Kollso Naka Abhijit Prabhudessai expected more support from residents of Chandor, Guirdolim, Panchwadi, Macasana, Xelvona, Hodar, Assolda and Curchorem.
The group Goyant Kollso Naka informed that the rallies will also be held in Xeldem, Sanguem, Curchorem and Sanvordem.
