CURCHOREM: Four of the seven members of Assolda panchayat have moved a no confidence motion against Sarpanch Dayanand Naik for not taking the members into confidence and promoting illegalities in the village.
The signatories to the motion are: Manojkumar Vasant Naik, Sumati Naik, Succorina Fernandes and Caitano Floriano Fernandes.
It is speculated that BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral is settling scores with Naik for working against him during the recently concluded Assembly elections. It is learnt that Manojkumar Vasant Naik is likely to be the front runner for the post.
