Speaking to Herald a member of the the organizing committee said they aware of the problems faced by the people and were keen to ensure that the guests would not have to experience such hardships. The official said that as of Thursday morning around 7000 delegates had registered online, of which 6800 had been cleared. The organizing committee expected around 15,000 odd visitors.
He said the stalls at the venue would have payment gateways, meaning they would accept debit and credit cards. There will be six such payment gateways around the theatre, he revealed. Stalls will also have swiping machines which will be installed by six different banks to ensure no one is inconvenienced. Everything from the chaat shops to outlets selling burgers will accept payments by card.
With regards the outlets that will come up along the DB road, he said it will have to be a decision on the part of the stall owners to decide if they wanted to deal only in cash or provide alternative payment gateways.
