BICHOLIM: Additional boats, floating tents and a floating restaurant will be some of the attractions that are likely to be made available at the Mayem Lake.
Champions Group Vice President D D Naidu told Herald that they plan to bring about 30 more boats and 10 floating tents, besides a Kerala Ayurvedic message, floating restaurant and other entertainment games.
“We are trying to introduce sophisticated eco-friendly international technology and will also try to attract the film industry for filming at the spot. Presently, there are rides including Kashmiri Shikara, bumper boats and other such rides for the tourists and other rides will be introduced in next 10-20 days,” he said.
According to Naidu, the Champions Yacht Club has introduced ‘eco friendly’ boats like Shikara (Kashmiri Dhall Lake boats), bumper boats, electric paddle boats, paint ball guns, kayaks, sailing boats, floating restaurants, etc.
“Besides, a children amusement park including a musical play-station, ice hockey, inflatable mountain climbing, etc, are to be introduced and plans are afoot to introduce 10 floating one-bedroom tents with chemical toilets for tourists, barbeque round boats, Kayak polo competition, speed fishing competition, international standard musical fountain and other facilities at the lake.
“For security measures, Mayem Lake is being monitored by CCTV and the site has fully trained professional lifeguards,” he added.
