Melbourne with Indian Ties
The Australian Government has appointed Matthew Hayden and Lisa Singh, who comes from India, as trade envoys so that they can try and advance the business ties that they have with India. The three new appointments to the board were announced on Monday and Minister Marise Payne has stated that Ashok Jacob has been appointed as chair. He is going to be joined by three board members. Lisa Singh, who was once a Labour Party Senator for Tasmania has said that she is going to be the deputy chair.

Hayden is 48 and he is an international cricketer. He has been a board member since 2018. When you look at Jacob, you will soon see that he has been on the council since the year 2014. Singh has also represented Tasmania from 2010 to 2019. Baillieu has been a member of the Victorian Assembly from 1999 all the way to 2014. Of course, he was conferred for the Ashoka Medal in 2013.
The Future of Cricket
If you look on this cricket blog, you will soon see that things have changed a lot over the years but at the same time, things have also stayed pretty much the same. The game of cricket is the same and what’s interesting is that some of the teams are competing as well now as they were 10 years ago. Although players are coming and going, it would be safe to say that the core aspects of the sport are the same. What’s changed is the tech that fuels cricket and the complexity of the operation overall. At one point it would not be possible to bet unless you went to the bookies, but now you can bet whenever you want and you can even do it from the comfort of your own smartphone. You also have devices which actually tell you how fast a ball is going and it’s possible to watch slow-motion tapes as well. When you look at all of this, you will soon find that it’s now easier than ever for you to not only appreciate the game, but actively relish in how far it has come.
Of course, only time will tell what the future holds for cricket, but right now it would seem that so much is being done to try and make sure that people are being given a chance to succeed in the cricket world. This is great to see and some might even say that the way for new players is being paved by those who are still cementing their legacy. The sport is growing continually, and the ties that are being formed are only going to strengthen it overall.
