Authorities take note of Naroa mangrove cutting

PANJIM, JUNE 11 More than a month after large tracts of mangroves were razed down on May 2, 2010 on the banks of river Mandovi and massive hill-cuttings came to light at Tottewada in Naroa village of Bicholim taluka, the sarpanch Laxman Malvankar finally issued a show-cause notice to Captain Virendra Mehta of Sea Scan Marine Services who is alleged to be behind the illegalities.
