Pernem civic chief resigns

Pernem Municipal Council (PMC) Chairperson Resha Mashelkar has tendered in her resignation in favour of councilor Nutan Aroskar.
Submitting her resignation to the directorate of municipal administration, Mashelkar offered her post to Aroskar in a mutual agreement between five councillors in the 10-member council.
Mashelkar was elected in April to the post on condition that she would step down within 2 months.
