MARGAO: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar have urged MLA Avertano Furtado to contest from Navelim on BJP ticket to clear the doubts of the minorities of Goa regarding the BJP.
They were speaking during the inauguration of the 10-bedded Navelim Primary Health Centre.
Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, Benjamin, Rajan Naik, Ulhas Tuenkar, Dr Sanjay Dalvi and Navelim panchas were present. Defence Minister inaugurated the PHC. Earlier, the dignitaries inaugurated the Goa Government’s NRI Seafarers Cell at the Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex. They laid the foundation stone for the Navelim Sports Complex with indoor stadium, swimming pool, tennis court, badminton court, volleyball court, futsal ring, joggers track, roller skating ring and other amenities.
