Calangute: The Calangute panchayat on Sunday held an extraordinary gram sabha to create awareness about the ABHA card. The Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) card is part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and like the Aadhaar card provides a unique 14-digit identification number for each person, officials from the Directorate of Health Services said.
All medical records, both from private and public health facilities and hospitals will be stored in the Abha number and can be accessed whenever needed, officials said, urging people to register themselves. A Pune-based company also made a presentation on a new garbage management system which will be adopted by the Calangute panchayat.
