Ayurveda Expo 2026 to Boost Research and Position Goa as Global Wellness Hub: CM Sawant

Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Thursday said the India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo 2026 aims to strengthen research in the field of Ayurveda and promote its growth both in India and at the global level.

Speaking after inaugurating the expo, the Chief Minister said the event would serve as a vital platform to showcase research-based studies on Ayurveda, with various academic and scientific papers being presented during the course of the programme. He noted that the expo brings together policymakers, entrepreneurs, industry stakeholders, and healthcare providers under one roof to exchange ideas and collaborate on advancing traditional medicine.

Dr Sawant further emphasised that such initiatives would play a key role in promoting Ayurveda as a credible and research-driven healthcare system while also enhancing Goa’s image as a preferred wellness tourism destination.

The India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo 2026 is expected to provide fresh momentum to the integration of traditional knowledge with modern healthcare practices and attract both national and international participation.
