PERNEM: Union Minister for Defence, Shripad Naik on Wednesday said that ayurvedic OPD will commence in 8 to 10 months in the phase-I of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy (AIIA), which is under construction, at Dhargal, Pernem.
The Union minister was speaking at the inauguration of Tika Utsav for the onsite workers of under construction Ayush Hospital at Dhargal. Naik said that at this tough time of COVID-19, vaccination is very important. “Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given utmost importance to vaccination. I appeal to the citizens to be part of this largest vaccination drive”, he said.
“The institute is an extension of AIIA, New Delhi which will be a 250 bedded hospital and will also offer undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD degrees to 500 students every year. The Ayurveda Department will have 100 beds while Naturopathy will have 150 bed capacities. The Yoga Department will have the facility of diabetic clinic, cardiac care unit including yoga therapy room for 30 patients. Institute includes a medical college with hostel facilities for ayurveda, naturopathy and yoga. The institute will also boost health tourism”, Shripad added.
