PANJIM: The State government has approved and issued the order to increase the remuneration of AYUSH doctors in the State.
The enhanced salary of Rs 50,000 will come into force from April 1, 2020. This was announced by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, who added that the top-up element shall be borne through the State budget.
AYUSH doctors under the Administration Section, doctors under the National Health Mission (NHM) be it BAMS, BHMS, HMA doctors, surgeon, medical officer, BDS are covered under this.
It may be recalled that these doctors had been demanding for a pay hike increase for a long time. Doctors on Friday met the Chief Minister to express their gratitude for the hike.
