PANJIM: Reacting to Utpal Parrikar’s criticism about lack of leadership by the local representative is resulting in city flooding; Panjim MLA Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate on Monday said, before making any statement, one should check the history about who was ruling Panjim for the past 25 years.
“Who was ruling Panjim for past 25 years? I am the one who has to put every effort to clear and get rid of all the mess that has been created by those ruling the State capital since past 25 years,” said Monserrate.
Utpal Parrikar, who had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly Elections 2022 as an Independent candidate due to denial of ticket of Panjim constituency from the ruling BJP, on Sunday had made a statement that, if the ‘father-son enterprise’ continues ruling Panjim for the next five years then soon the day will come when public will forget that Panjim is the capital city of Goa.
